Mountain Birth is a rural midwifery practice serving the Western Slope of Colorado...and beyond! We offer complete prenatal care including lab work, genetic testing and referral for ultrasound. Our care is based on the needs of the individual and focuses on preventive care. We pride ourselves on combining the best of ancient art and modern medicine while using nutrition and herbs as a foundation. We offer complete birthing services in the home, including waterbirth and Vaginal Birth After Cesarean. Postpartum care is also done in the home with checks 24 hours, 3 & 7 days after birth, with a 6 week check at the office. Breastfeeding is encouraged and supported, additional home visits are included if breastfeeding is problematic. Rebecca is passionate about her work as a midwife and shares your enthusiasm about your birth. Office visits average about an hour so that your needs can be addressed, your questions and concerns are welcomed. Each visit includes education about childbirth preparation from a holistic and positive perspective. We also provide pre and post natal yoga, doula services in the hospital, and postpartum doula services in the home. We support the birth that is right for you!
Rebecca is a Registered Midwife in Colorado and is a Certified Professional Midwife. She is a licensed Emergency Medical Technician and is Certified in Neonatal Resuscitation. She is also certified in ALSO, Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics and has attended almost 200 births.
